Talava Tequila

lowlands origin valley of giants

The untamed spirit of the Valleys lives in every drop

Inspired by Jalisco’s majestic Valles Region and the ancestral guardians of these lands, Talava was born. A tequila that pays homage to its origins, crafted with profound respect for the traditions that gave life to tequila in the old tabernas.

Our mature agave is slowly cooked in a traditional conical stone oven, giving it a soft, distinctive smokiness. The sweet juice, crushed by hand with a mallet in a wooden canoe, becomes a must that ferments naturally with wild yeast. A double distillation, finished in copper, grants it a unique and refined character, made for discerning palates.

Talava is living tradition, a bridge between past and present. A sensorial journey that honors the land, celebrates the giants, and listens to the echo of wolves that still roam the Valley.

Talava: The Tequila of Giants and Guardians of the Valley

In the vast and majestic Valles Region of Jalisco, where ancient lands meet deep-rooted traditions, Talava is born—a tequila that not only honors the art of distillation but also embodies the untamed spirit of this land’s guardians: the wolves.

Long ago, wolves were revered as guardians of the valleys—symbols of strength, wisdom, and a profound connection to the land. Just like these majestic animals, our tequila is crafted with deep respect for ancestral traditions and nature.

Talava begins in the fields, with agave chosen at its peak maturity to create a transcendent spirit. Once at the distillery, it is slowly cooked, developing a subtle smoky touch that echoes the distant howls of the wolves—the strength and resilience of these wild guardians whose presence inspires reverence.

Fermentation with native yeasts imparts singular, untamed notes, echoing the wild nature of the wolves, guardians of the valleys.

Each batch of Talava is an ode to courage and authenticity, a tribute to the wolves that symbolize an unbreakable bond with the land.

Just as wolves protect and guide their pack, Talava seeks to protect and celebrate the rich heritage of tequila.

Every sip of our tequila is an invitation to connect with the history and spirit of the valleys, to feel the strength of the ancestral guardians, and to savor a truly authentic experience.

The experience behind the ritual

Knowledge, experience, and tequila-making tradition converge in Talava—a spirit that honors authenticity with a touch of contemporary innovation, offering a sensorial journey that celebrates the untamed spirit of the valley’s guardians.

Every drop of Talava carries the time, patience, and dedication required to craft a tequila of exceptional quality.

Talava is my vision turned spirit—a tribute to the past, a thank you to the present, and a greeting to the future.
